Dymo labelmanager thermal transfer printer

Dymo sells this printer for about $60. It uses thermal transfer paper instead of "regular" paper, which is used in their more expensive printers.

I like the price point, but I'm concerned about how the thermal-transfer paper will hold up over time. Will it fade, the way that ATM and gas pump receipts seem to fade after a week.

Not sure which Dymo you are looking into getting or how much you will be using it, but we actually use Dymo LabelWriter 400s at work for address labels and they seem pretty solid.

We have had ours for 5+ years and most of them get used daily for printing address labels, I would guess 20-50 (50 would be a pretty heavy day) and they have never needed to have anything replaced on them, just more labels of course. :) And doesn't seem like the quality has really diminished at all.
