Dying Harddrive???

I believe my HD is dying...Here's the story. Everything was fine until about 3 days ago. I moved the directory that some of my MP3s were in and then they wouldn't play anymore. They queue in Winamp when I load that directory. But when I try to play it skips over them like they aren't there. So I got new copies of those MP3s and tried copying the new MP3s over the old but it says "access is denied." I can't move or delete them. I checked the file attributes and "read only" is unchecked. I'm noticing a pattern now. I've gotten several other MP3s since then, they all play fine until I move them to a new directory. All of my MP3s that I haven't moved still play fine.
 
Most manufacturers have some sort of utility on their website that will test the hard drive. My maxtor drive is dying on me :(
