I have a Dell P1110 CRT (basically a Sony G520) that I've had for maybe 2 years now or so... and it was purchased off lease. The colours are fantastic and the brightness/contrast are still going strong - currently set at 20/80.

However, over the past few weeks I've been noticing very faint blue lines, going a slight bit diagnally across the screen, bit higher on the right side. There seems to be several, going down the length of screen and they are 'stationary'. They are also only seen when the screen is projecting alot of black - like the background of this forum for example.

I'm really at a loss as to what it could be and I am curious if anyone has experienced this before and/or any remedies.

Thanks in advance,

T-X

Have you tried changing your display adapters out? Could it possible be your video card and not your monitor? Try it out and see if that fixes things. Looks as though it could be your monitor with those blue lines, or maybe the cabling is going nuts? Not sure.
