Does anyone have any pictures comparing the difference between using DVI and VGA? I would love to see if buying a DVI cable is worth.
 
i don't have pics sorry, but I really think pics taken with a camera of a particular LCD screen can't really do it justice.

The DVI connection is a lot clearer and crisper from my own experience with a Dell 2007WFP. Its just a lot better, not as many smudges or blurs. Also the digital aspect means that setting up doesn't involve messing with callibrartying the position of the screen.

definately get it if you can use it.
 
I agree, you should deffinitely get a DVI cable if you haven't already. If you have a monitor with both (DVI / VGA) then the DVI should always be better but it depends on the screen how much difference there is. Some cheaper screens look really bad through VGA.
 
there is no diff when you using a good analog output and vga vable

i tested on my CG220 both running 1920x1200,my eye can't see any different!!!!
 
I saw a 22" Westinghouse LCD hooked up at Best Buy and cringed; it was VGA connected and it didn't look good at all. (checked the menu settings and confirmed it)

Then went to a LAN party and saw it set up with a DVI connection; gorgeous picture quality. Crisp picture quality, vibrant colors ... unbelievable (and only $200 on Black Friday ;)).

Surely that's because your monitor is very high quality, have you tested your setup on a low end and/or average quality monitor with both VGA and DVI?. Also what was the good analog output you used?

i guess this really depends on personal opnion and also which monitor. too many things to take into account. But still, if DVI isn't too expensive, it's definately the way to go, rather than VGA. Besides, DVI is pretty mcuh the standard now anyways.
