Is there any advantage for using an adapter to route my CRT into the video card's DVI port, or will I see the same visual quality directly from the VGA port? It's a single monitor setup so there's no real need to do either one, just curious.
 
You will see the same quality like you would if you hooked it up to a VGA port...
 
You need a true DVI cable ( no adapters) going from your DVI vid card to your DVI port on your LCD to see the difference and believe me , YOU WILL!
