i would like to connect my old computer's gtx 460 to my gsync-modded vg248qe, which only supports displayport. my gtx 460 has two dvi-i outputs and one mini-hdmi output.

it seems most cables/adapters are designed to connect computers/graphics cards with displayport output to dvi monitors...

is it possible at all?

I doubt it, G-Sync requires DisplayPort to work, and I don't think DVI has enough bandwidth to get 1080p at 144hz (the DVI it uses on the vanilla VG24QE is dual link).

dvi dual link can easily support 1080p @ 144Hz but the signals are not compatible without and active adapter i think

Yup, that is because before Kepler, Nvidia did not have native support for DisplayPort.

Remember everyone how AMD caught the entire industry by surprise with evergreen
