QUESTION: what is better, i have a 9800 pro and is it bettter to use the VGA to DVI connector and use the dvi port or is it better to use just the VGA port, is there any differance? let me know!

I don't think there is any difference, so use the VGA port. Its less hassel and using the DVI adapter can put some strain on the card depending on the angle which the cord reaches the back of your case.

naw, its all got plenty of slack for both the vid card and if i wanted to use the dvi adapter, jsut thought it would give me a better picture, but guess not

What is the DVI port for anyway?

I have one too and the only time I ever used it was when I was mucking about with a dual monitor setup..

the dvi port is usually for digital lcd's. essentially, its an output that hasn't been converted to an analog signal-- unlike the vga.
