Hello display gurus!
I am in need of assistance here, and I am wondering if there is a possible work-a-round for my dilema. I currently have 2 analog VGA 17" LCDs that need to be hooked up in a dual display setup. The problem is, they're going into a laptop docking station. Said docking station has 1 VGA port, and one DVI-D (if you're not familiar, there are 4 DVI hardware configurations, and DVI-D apparently only sends a digital signal out).
This brings up a problem. Monitor 1 hooks up fine VGA to VGA.. monitor two is using a few DVI adapters and is recieving power so the screen is black but no signal is being diplayed. I can only imagine this is happening because the analog LCD does not have the capability to read a 1s and 0s (digital).
I've looked around on the net for some DVI-D -> VGA adapters but am having problems locating them. In your experience oh gurus, have any of you been able to resolve a similar situation ? Or have another work-a-round ?
