i just got 100 taiyo tyg02 discs for almost $30 from meritline.com
back in the day i ordered a bunch of ritek disks from newegg and they all worked great too, but people are saying that riteks are generally crap now. :rolleyes:

still burning strong with my sony dru700 :D 4x 4ever!

Pretty much sums up the good the bad and the ugly of what is out there. I have heard about problems with the latest Riteks (G05?) also, not sure whether they are real or fake IDs or some outfit selling repackaged defective returns. Even my usually reliable Maxell disks are having some QC problems now. Forgot to mention my 8X Fuji branded TYs that had bubbles in the outer 1/8', great burns as long as you don't go over 4gig. Personally I have had no problems with Ritek G03/G04, MXL and TY -R (with the exception noted above).

First thing I look for is "Made in Japan" on the package. That usually means a top tier maker and a better result, usually, not always.
