I had added some ram to my computer which had worked for about 2 weeks until when running a game, my computer crashed. It then would not boot up after that until I took that ram out and just left my other ram in there. I have a sony vaio computer that I have had for a while (2.5 years) and I would like to add the ram, but Im not sure why the computer is rejecting it. It can handle up to 1gb which i had when I added the stick. Is there anything I can do so the computer will accept it? I was reading another post about a similar situation but I don't have the options they used in my bios. any help would be ver appreciated.

try switching the ram sticks around, there are numerous ways the ram can be put in. there should be 3-4 slots , switch them around, trial and error
