In my work, I need to be able to pull video from a dvd, and be able to edit it. I'm familiar with iMovie, and that's all the editing that I'll need to do. However, my problem is that of the dvd rippers that I've tried so far, none are native to the intel cpu's. Therefore I assume it's running in emulation mode, and is doing so very slowly.
These are unprotected, non-commercial dvd's, so I don't need to break any encryption or anything. I just want to know what my options would be for the fastest possible way to be able to import it into iMovie. I've tried dragging the disc into iMovie, and that didn't work. I assume I need to convert it to a video file first, and then drag the file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
