I'll get straight to the point..... all my Music DVD's and audio CD's are lagging in any players I've used on my machine..... I have no clue what the problem is... it started happening out of the blue.... i play all my cd's in my rw drive and it works fine.....its like it's buffereing the stuff because on DVD's, if i play it for a bit, it will be fine except when i get to the part when i stopped and started over......there are breaks in in the audio and video... i donno what's going on......

AMD athlon xp 2500+ @ 1.83 ghz
1.50gb 2700 ddr kingston ram
ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 128mb
cant remember what kinda DVD-Rom i have... under 2 years old
DVD's tested:
Joe Satriani live in san Fran, disc one and 2.....

CD's tested:
Eric Johnson's Tones and Venus Iles
 
Do you have DMA enabled?

And is the DVD drive on the same IDE channel as the functioning CD-RW?
