DVD problems?

Ok, I recently came home today to fine out I couldn't play oblivion cause my DVD drive wasn't wanting to read it along with my other games. So I thought I'd mess with the jumpers and no matter what I tried nothing worked. So this is were I turned to Hardforums So if any of yall can help me fiqure it out I'd be happy to know.

Try holding down the eject button until the cd drive resets itself

I had to do that once when my burner was unresponsive and wouldnt read or eject. After the reset everything was fine

EDIT:It didn't work and btw its a lite-on dvd-drive LTD163
