dvd player freezes computer

yes i just built a computer and i have a dvd player and a cd burner....and when i insert a cd in sometimes my computer will just freeze and i have to tun my computer off and start it back up again....this problem is getting kinda aggrivating...does anyone know what the problem could me
 
i wouldnt think it was my power supply...it is working just fine......everything else is working just fine....except sometimes when i insert a cd in my dvd drive
