hey guys i ahve some Avi files(movies) that i want to convert into the dvd format(so i can pop it in to a dvd player at a friends), i happen to forget the program that i was using so can anyone here give me programs that work. need it asap thanks
 
Converttodvd or avi2dvd are some that I can think of.
google is ur friend!
 
Ashampoo Burning Studio 7 will work as well. With v. 7 you can also create menus on the DVD. The trial version will do everything, but lasts X amount of days. The full program is rather cheap though.
