DVD Drive not reading disc

I recently installed Win 7 Pro on a new ssd. Upon installing the OS, chipset drivers and running win updates, the dvd drive is no longer detecting discs. I noticed that the dvd drive icon now has a plus sign and music symbol too. When I double click on the dvd drive, it shows that there is a music track present even though the drive itself is empty. Also, itunes lists song tracks present under audio cd when one is not inserted. Can anyone offer any insight in what may be the issue ? Thanks in advance !

Also, the drive is now labled as CDFS.

Edit: Found possible fix, issue seems to be caused by the x79 sata drivers.
