DVD drive just disappeared.

I just installed a printer driver using the DVD drive, it was working fine. Now the drive just disappeared, when I went to put in a music CD the drive doesn't even show up. How do I fix this? I am running Windows 7.
 
Thanks, I ran the trouble shooter but it didn't fix anything, just says that it found a problem. the cd drive is still not showing up under the "computer" panel.
 
Unplug it, reboot, power down, plug it in, power up.
