DVD comparison

i trust Samsung more. In my experience, Sony products have a short life span.
 
You probably won't notice a difference, but I'd go with the samsung.
 
You never mentioned what you want to do with it. It makes a difference.

I will say this though, I have the Sony model and it is quiet and preforms well. I don't know about the Samsung.

Also, Lite-Ons are known for there ripping speeds and are rock-solid. Plextors are known for being quiet also and are near or at the top of every catagory, and if you go into a pro. recording studio, you will see them using Plextors.

Like I said, it depends on what you are going to be doing with it.
