Before you flame me the dvd burner guide post is almost 2.5 years old. I just purchased a dvd burner and was wondering if there were any good sites that deal with the software involved with dvd burning. I'm completely new to it and haven't even tried to burn anything yet...

Some questions are whats a good software package? A good brand of DVD media?

Thanks in advance
Biggs

uh, it's like 8 months old, was posted in august 2003...

True, I guess the date I saw was TechHead's registeration.

You'll notice under my username "newbie cheese". This title fits quite well, sorry about all that.

advice is still welcome...

doom9.net is a pretty good resource for making backups of dvds

Someone called? ;)
Okay, check out the forums at CDRLabs, www.cdrlabs.com and Club CD Freaks, club.cdfreaks.com. CDFreaks have a Media Test Forum, which you can search and find out which discs will do well with your burner. I also recommend you read the KProbe sticky in the Media forum @ Club CDFreaks.
