I'm trying to find an easy solution to take DVDs and turn them into some kind of file format that I can save on my mybook live so I can play them back on my xbox for my 2 year old daughter, as opposed to her grabbing for dvds and breaking/scratching them. I have i5 processor and would like to take advantage of quicksync if its viable. Anyone used badaboom, arcsoft mediaconverter, or cyberlink media espresso? Are those the correct programs I would use? Any opensource/free programs? I want something fairly quick and easy that doesn't require using a bunch of different programs. I tried the demo of badaboom and it seems like it makes really big file sizes even with lower quality settings. Should I be looking for divx as oppposed to mp4?
