duron applebred results

hmm
i think something is fucked up here, im overclocking a 1.4ghz duron applebred to 1300mhz(as far as this shitty cheap ass mobo for 5$ from some kid, Pc Partner, or soemthing like that) anyways CPU-z is reporting my cpu VCORE being at 3.5!!!

my proc i sactually being uderclocked somehow while everything else is being overclocked, intriguing.... :-/

after playing with some jumper settings on teh borad(the little tawtwaffle had the jumpers set to 100mhz fsb..dumbass) and some playin around in teh bios i got taht on a shitty as cooler master aluminum heatsink running very stable and much faster.


if anyone has any other tweaks/mods i could to do it, ur imput would be greatly accpeted....


EDIT: wtf is up with my vcore tho...it shouldnt be that high...im gettin nervous, anyone elses vcore that high(the bios has no option to change the vcore :-/)

it may be reading the 3.3v line instead of the vcore or something. what voltages are reported in the bios?

what are the temps like? i highly doubt the vcore is actually that high... probably just a shitty motherboard with shitty readings.

it may also be reporting 2x the real vcore (1/2 of 3.5 is 1.75, so that would be about normal)

if the board doesnt support the duron it will fuck things up.. mine was detected at 1.2 at first. it says its a duron when it boots up but couldnt detect the speeds, which was just fine for my needs

im using an epox 8k9a7i and even tho ppl claim the pci/agp busses arent locked i havent had a problem, and i even have a raid card. i personally thnk they are.

google, i dont have an exact link. mine is one of the middle ones- its moddable but its multi locked. default is 1.6 for me but i might sell mine and get a 1.8 and see what it can do. i doubt you can mod it but its worth a try.

BTW: its russian, the russian modders first figured it out, you can do this with the thortons too i believe
