I had this wishlisted and was not its original name. It was Project something or other.

I am positive. I wish I could remember exactly what it was but it was Project "Something". Here is my wishlist of it back in November.

I went into the discussions and the first post was from the end of September last year for the alpha test. Found out it was originally called Project Crawl on SteamDB.

The alpha looks almost exactly like Dark and Darker.

There is a demo out today. Just finished downloading so I am going to go check it out.
 
this is so fucking weird... like there's the legal battle between Nexon and the Dark & Darker dev, and then this game looks like a carbon copy of Dark & Darker. Way, way more than games like Ashen ape the Souls games... this is like control c, control v type shit.

I agree. It is a control C to control V. Except this game seems slower and shitty. This is a good concept, give me a multiplayer Ultima Underworld.
 
I had to look twice at the game title. Not very souls like at all, def a dark and darker clone. I really thought the game name was incorrect. Except this one is clunkier from what I can see watching it be streamed.
 
On second thought, after playing a few times. The game is awesome! Yes, It plays like Hexen but has the atmosphere of the Thief.

The not so awesome, its a PVP game, which I was not aware of. Even less awesome, if you're killed by another player, you lose all of your inventory and even your equipment items. Everything. Basically, you have max level players farming the low level players who are trying to kill monsters to get better gear, but they can't because their being hunted by max level players. Whoever thought this would be a good idea, I don't know.

It would be nice if you could opt out of the PVP experience, that might make the game more worthwhile.

Can't recommend it.
 
I had the same experience Krenum during the last demo. I like the concept of the game but the PVP aspect ruins it for me, as well. There was absolutely no way to make any meaningful progress.
