After switching my WD80 GB hd to my 2nd computer and installing my new WD200 gb sata drive today My system was doing the oddest thing it first started saying invalid page fault and restarting it did ths a few times. After that it would reboot and shutoff at various stages of the booting cycle it even did this while I was fiddling with the bios. I couldnt figure out what it was so I thought maybe its a software issue so I unistalled the driver for my Nvidia Ti4200 and uninstalling winamp when this didnt do anything (that was pretty much all I had installed so far) I was at my wits end and quite upset. I decided I should check all my connections so I took My comp apart took out my ram and vid card I then I looked at my Sata cable and saw that it was improperly seated at that moment I thought ahaha that is my problem. I properly seated it and started up my comp. Mashallah (this phrase and the one following it are just a way of saying by the will of God and a form of thanking him) its working fine and Inshallah itll continue to do so.

Btw does anyone know where I could get a replacement HSF for my ATI radeon AIW 9800 pro.

You have another problem. You bought a keyboard with no puncuation keys!!!!

You could try going straight to ATI if the HSF failed. If you get a decent person on the phone, they'll send you a replacement.

If you have a problem with the computer acting funny in the BIOS or while booting, it's generally a pretty good indication that your issue is hardware related and has nothing to do with software. Also, for future consideration, any time you have a problem immediately after swapping a piece of hardware, you should look at that part and it's connections *first*, before doing any other swapping/uninstalling/etc.

You happy now? :D

I had thought it was my power supply because of the odd rebooting. When it rebooted while I was in the bios I decided it wasnt software and was definatly hardware. That was when I started to check my connections, hopefully after today I wont make the same mistake.
