Okay, so I have a 3-pack copy of Windows 7, installed on - my gaming box, bootcamp on my MBP and on parallels. I've just finished collecting parts for a new gaming build (yay!) and am going to wipe the hard disk on my current gaming box and install Windows 7 on my new box. Except, for the life of me, I cannot figure out which of my 3 Windows 7 serials is installed in the gaming box.
Is there a way to figure out the serial number of a Windows install? I suspect not, since you then run into the problem of other people stealing your serial and using it. I've tried to google but nothing helpful shows up. How do I deactivate a registered install of Windows? What happens if I randomly use one of my 3 serials, and its the wrong one?
