Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
So my main computer's hard drive is messed up, and won't let me access my OS. Is there a way I can connect my laptop to the computer and access the files from there? Thanks.
Well you can always get a device to load your hdd into and have it connect to your laptop via usb (there's a name for it but I can't think of it... firewire or usb case? I dunno). All it does is allow your normal ide or sata hdd to connect through firewire or usb as an external drive.
Define "messed up". If you mean the OS has crashed then you can repair it with the windows CD. This assuming your running windows. You gave virtually no information about your actual problem. If the HDD is actually hosed, like it's clicking or something terminal, then you can try to pull your data with a PE CD. Bart's PE will work. I prefer using a Knoppix boot CD to try to get data on a failing drive. If the drive has actually failed then your SOL unless you want to send the disk off to a data retrieval company. You'd be talking about thousands of dollars going that route.
