I've got a normal flat screen monitor. My video card (geforce fx 5900xt) has got inputs for both regular monitors and the dvi input (I think that's what it's called). Anyways, the card came with an adaptor that switches the regular monitor connection to plug into the dvi port. Is there any advantage to using that plug and pluging into the high definition plug?? Or should I just leave it?

Flat screen CRT. I'm not sure what you're saying no and yes to.

Just to try and help,

CRT is the term for normal flat screen monitor
Your video card has VGA and DVI OUTPUTS
DVI is not the same as high definition

and the short answer is NO, the DVI to VGA converter will offer you no improved picture quality over the standard VGA output.

:D
