how do i install 2 instances of F@H, it won't let me. Or even better, how do i make it run 100% on a dually board, it only does half possible cycles.

You have to install 2 different console versions in separate directories. I use folder1 and folder2. You set up everything the same way as far as name and team number but when you get to the machine id use #1 for the first install and #2 for the second install. You just can’t use 2 versions of the graphical client.

Something like this via the console client! There will be no slow down since you have a second cpu to run the other instance.

Multiple f@h3 instances on one machine. Multiple f@h3 instances on one machine.

This question is coming up a lot.

To slow down the client in order to to reduce the number of dialup connections in a day, or for SMP machines it is normal to run multiple instances of the f@h3 client.

To do this successfully you must install each instance in it's own directory and assign each instance a separate "machineid #".

The easiest way to do this is to use notepad (or any other text editor) to edit the client.cfg file for each instance.

you will find the file in each instances install directory.

In the file you will see "machineid=1".
Leave this alone for the first instance.
For the second instance change this to "machineid=2"

valid machineids are 1,2,3 and 4.
