Dual Video or Proc? which gets hotter?

[mateo]

Which will get hotter, two different loops:
dual 6800 GT (OC'ed slightly)
3600 (OC'ed slightly)

[Top Nurse]

Probably the dual GPU's.

[Zefram0911]

dual gpus...

[lithium726]

a single GPU gets hotter than a processor...

so dual GPU's are like a furnace...

[Russ]

especially since they are right next to each other.

And a GPU is only really hotter than a CPU b/c the coolers on it have to suck b/c otherwise they'd bend the card. If you put an XP-90 on a GPU, it would be about the same temp as a CPU.

[RaphaelVinceti]

if you could fit an xp-90 on the gpu...

[Erasmus354]

GPU's put out less heat than a processor, not more or equal...

[2uantuM]

Just because GPUs run hotter, doesn't mean they output more heat. CPU Cooling solutions are just more advanced.

[RaphaelVinceti]

no, actually, GPUs put out more heat than cpus. intels put out around 110ws, so do most Gpus, i beleive. AMDs on the other hand, put out about 80.. at most, i beleive I could very well be wrong, if i am, please someone correct me
