Hey guys, I should sometime soon have two identical 17" flat panel monitors. What Im wanting to do is find or make a single stand that can hold both of them up side by side, anyone seen something similar online or somewhere, possibly even just a tutorial?

ive seen dual and quad monitor stands for flat panels, but the ones I saw were 3 or 4 hundred, more than I paid for my first lcd, so im trying to find something a little more cost effective...

the reason i want this is because of lack of desk space, and one stand would be able to hold the monitors over the other crap on my desk at the exact same height and angle

The only ones I've seen are from Ergotron, you can try Dell (probably under small business) or newegg.
I've wanted one of their 300 series for my 213T for awhile, but $250+ is a lot.
You could try to hold off until Dell has a 20% off peripherals/accessories, that may make it a bit more reasonable.

I've also been looking and it seems that you'll never find one under $200 which is absolutly rediculous if you ask me...I dont see why it should cost that much...

the Ergotron that I have is all metal, high quality, etc.

yes, it was very expensive...but I'm sure it'll last longer than the 2001fps will!

I have the same monitor

NecessaryE, that is a sweet setup you have. BTW, you're all ready and primed, to go get killed/annihilated at QuakeCon? :D

Nuclear, at Home Depot (or any such place) ~$25 or so will get you small can of hi-gloss polyurethane varnish, 3 quality-grade small pieces of wood, sandpaper, box of Phillips screws----all you need for a sleek beautiful Stand of your own. (Just add "elbow-grease" and Voila !! you're all done). Good luck.:D

NecessaryEvil,

Are you using dual-DVI connection from your Radeon or one-DVI, and one-D-Sub ?? I ask because I'm not aware of any Radeon-based cards featuring two DVI outputs.

Nice setup, BTW.

Cheers.

1. Yes, I'm looking forward to QuakeCon.
Not sure how I'm getting there though.

1 friend wants to drive.
I want to fly (and thanks to my M6805, I can get by on a laptop for the weekend).

If we do drive though, I'll be bringing my main system and the 2000FP, rather than the dual 2001s.

2. I'm using 1 DVI, and 1 VGA. if I could find a gaming card with 2 DVI that is >= my 9800XT, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Necessay, how did you post that Pic?
I have my Pic's address stored in Windows clipboard.
But I cant "Paste" it nto image box here, because the buttons are 'greyed out' on my Windows main menu.
