Dual Screen Refresh Rate Issue

Heres the setup.

Radeon 9800 Pro with BenQ FP-2091 on DVI and NEC FE950 CRT on VGA.

I'm new to dual monitors but I've got it working and seems well. I can drag windows across etc.

Problem I have is I cant get the Refresh rate to set for the CRT (secondary monitor). It says its set at 85 and the monitor does its flash like its changing yet it always comes back at 60.

Anyone got any ideas why this may be?

Go to Display Settings and make sure to put a check in the box "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" and do that for both displays.

You have to run them in extended mode if you want different resolutions and refresh rates. If you have it set to clone then they will both have the same settings.
 
thanks for the response. I did have it set that way. As it turns out forcing the refresh rate with refreshforce did the job. It really is a joke how XP handles Refresh rates after so many years.
