What would be the best way to do dual PSUs in a rig...

I am hitting a power cap.... my HCP1200w isn't enough.
need to power 1x24pin, 3x EPS 12v, 8x GTs, 1x Laing d5, 1x ssd.

I have an older 1200w pc p&c...

it's weird, but i've had dual PSUs in a makeshift workstation, and when i powered on the one, the other one just somehow knew to power on.

otherwise, i'm sure you could splice the wires to your power button to trigger the other power supply to turn on, pins 14 and 15 being triggered will power on the psu (http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/other/22)

probably a better way to do it, but this would be what i would think of

I'd try to do two identical supplies and split at least the 24 pin ATX and all three of the 8 pin EPS's to get the board plenty of power.

I have one and have used it. They work wonderfully for around $15 shipped. Gets the job done (and much cheaper than buying a new PSU). If you find a good deal on a gold or platinum rated PSU, this works well too!
