Dual Processor Multithreading Q's

I am confused on how to setup the non-SMP OSX for a dual processor Power Mac. I am not that good on OSX. The trouble I am having is with the 2nd console, I have downloaded a 2nd directorty with F@H in it but renaming with the -local -config still won't open it and allow me to go through the setup to get to entering machine id of 2.

Anyone with similar problems or am I crazy?
What I really need is a OSX walk through for multithreading, inlike the windows one linked at [H]Folding.

Are you using a console version or a graphical version? Graphical versions don't play well together.

I'm not sure how the best way to do it would be, but it would most certainly require going through a terminal and appending the flags to the console executeable and going from there. As I don't know the exact commands, I did find an alternative that might be to your liking, an OSX configuration utility called Increase (first link in the thread), maybe give that a shot and see if it does what you're looking for.

OSX works a little bit different then windows. When you run it (doesnt matter where) it stores everything into ~\library\Folding@Home (~is the user home directory). What you should do is move the fah file into that and make a second folder in the library name Folding@home2 and stick the a copy of the fah file into it and run it from there using -local. and like p[H] said, you need to run it from the terminal. If you have IM, give me a shout and i can help walk you through it.
