Dual monitors possible,

Hi guys, Im looking to ramp up my display setup. I want to run 2 x 24" 1080 displays.

They will not be for gaming or anything at all visually intensive, just lots of putty terminal screens for my college project.

I have an asus p8z77-i deluxe motherboard, currently using the hdmi out with a single 24" monitor.

It has another DVI-I outlet, can I output from that, while outputting from the hdmi at the same time,

I dont have a graphics card, but have integrated graphics on my i7-3770K cpu.

I dont want to buy a monitor if I have to get a graphics card as well. Was hoping my cpu and mb would support 2 monitors, for very basic use ??

Use the DisplayPort for the other one. you may have to buy one of these;

Or get a monitor that support DisplayPort. Cable may not be included.

Yes it will support two displays at once. wra18th is probably correct though, that you'll have to use either HDMI + DisplayPort or DVI + DisplayPort.

I suspect that the HDMI and DVI ports are "the same port" based on the specs listed for the board:

Integrated Graphics Processor
Multi-VGA output support : HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort ports
- Supports HDMI with max. resolution 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz
- Supports DVI with max. resolution 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz

*I may be wrong. Some folks on other forums indicate that HDMI + DVI works ok, but you are limited to two displays no matter how they're plugged. It just won't do three at once.
