i'm sure this has been answered in another thread (however, after 4 hours of searching, i can't find it, i can find all kinds of pictures of people's setups, but not how they did it)... maybe someone can link me to it or can give me a brief overview here...
i want to use two monitors (well, one monitor, one tv), and i'm running digital cable into my pc and tv right now so that i can use the pvr on the pc but watch on the tv (19 inch lcd monitor is tough to see from across the room
) by running the coax connection from the converter box into the tv and the s-video connection into the pc...
i would like to be able to just run it through the pc and have 2 different screens output to the monitor and tv (i.e. watch tv on the tv and surf on the monitor, if for no other reason than to watch f1 races and follow scoring & timing at the same time
)...
ati x600 pro (card that came with hp media center pc) video card (not aiw)... has vga/dvi/s-video outputs... windows xp mce 2005 os... monitor has both vga and dvi inputs...
help would be appreciated. i realize it's a simplistic question for this forum, but have some patience with an old mainframe programmer trying to catch on to the pc world...
