Hey.

I have 2 monitors, and I was wondering if it is at all possible to enable just one when in windows, and the second when gaming? I want to use the second as a kind of, map screen. Like in BF2 where you can show different aspects of the game on dif displays, like have one monitor as a main, and the second showing a map.

Is this possible? Or any programs that make it possible?

Thanks,

I have UltraMon, but it looks like the only way to do it is to get a game that is compatible.

Only like 5 games are like that, from what I read

Games like
1. X2 - the threat
2. FS9

So heres another question.

Can I change the resolutions of the screens independently? (I have a 19'' and a 15'' )

yes. download your current video drivers. I use my tv and my 19" lcd and i have 2 different resolutions

I wasn't aware this was possible - different game views on different screens. BF2's implementation sounds ideal. Flight sim uses it for panoramic views afaik.

What does Ultramon do for games? In what way do games need to be compatible with it?

If they can have see-through-walls cheats and 3-d glasses kits, you'd think someone could make a tool that provides different views on another monitor. Like zoomed way out, or top-down, or some fixed perspective. Is there such a thing?
