I have dual monitors. Im running windows 2000. The primary display is on an agp GeForce 3 ti200, the secondary display is on a PCI GeForce FX5200.. whenever i run any modern game, i have it on the primary display with the geforce 3, but after about 3 mins. of game time the computer restarts. i have had this problem with every one of my games including CS, Max Payne 2, Need For Speed Underground.. and others. Anyone know why? Your help is needed! Thanks

Be sure you're using the latest chipset drivers and Video Card drivers but I heard to stick with The 45.23 Detonator XP for people without a NVIDIA FX line 3Dcard

if you post your system specs I could help more maybe

Epox 4pea+ celeron 2.2 1x512 pc2700.. geforce 3 ti200 geforce fx 5200.. so i should use the detinator drivers?

No, you should download the newest Catalysts.

What else are you going to use?

Yeah, there's been some issues with the ti200, but 45.23s predate the FXs, so you're just going to have to play around with different versions if the newest ones don't work. Have fun.

Try removing the PCI video card and run the games and see if it still crashes.
If it still crashes, pull out the AGP card and run the PCI card by itself and then try to run the games.
If it still crashes, may be a CPU, RAM, or OS problem.
Try closing down as many apps and utlities as well.

I have a problem with games locking up every now and then and rebooting the PC due to a bad memory chip, one or more of the 3 sticks I have in the machine is bad but I've been too lazy to find out which one.

everyone seems to be skipping the most obvious possibility... what kind of Power Supply are you using.. and are you OCing your system any?

Ive talked with lots of folks who find most of their problems go away when they get a better PS.
