Man there are a whole lot of frames that render way faster than the 680 in SLI!
 
Try this program. http://www.radeonpro.info/en-US/Downloads/

When you start it, go to the following tab:

Using the above screenshot as a guide, make a profile from your BF3 executable file and set the vsync mode to dynamic with the refresh rate at 59 or 60Hz.

If your FPS is lower than that, pick the average framerate you normally get in BF3 and set your preferred refresh rate there instead.

This is by far the more interesting chart, showing that if you discount those stub frames, the actual perceived frame rate is hardly better than a single card.

This is the same graph with data gathered from our method that omits RUNT frames that only represent pixels under a certain threshold (to be discussed later).
Removing the tiny slivers gives us a "perceived frame rate" that differs quite a bit - CrossFire doesn't look faster than a single card.

Word. You can even use afterburners built în frame limiter. Butter, butter smooth even at odd framerates like 40 or 50.
