Someone in the "show off your video card thread" on the 10th or 11th page showed his Gainward Golden Sample 6800GT with dual dvi!

Can someone else confirm this?

The actual specifications on that site are as to how many DVI connections are on the card. It mentions that there is at least one, but only the name indicates dual DVI.

Sounds a lot like the way newegg puts 400 MHz for the core speed of the vanilla 6800's, when it's actually 325 and 400 is the RAMDAC speed....

Alas, I wish I didn't have to gamble. Paying the premium price should at least grant me assurance in what I'm getting.

I'm probably going to end up getting the XFX vanilla 6800 instead, because at least I'm guaranteed to get two DVI ports, and the vanilla 6800 doesn't really suck as much as some of the people here think :)

And how many posts does it take for me to not be a "noobie" anymore?

100 I think.

And I'm going with the MSI or the Leadtek 6800 because of the better performing copper coolers and good overclocking results so far.

I was looking at purchasing the XFX model for that same reason. Today when I went to the site I found this lovely addition to the XFX 6800 line of cards. a GT with Dual DVI. " GEFORCE 6800 GT 256MB DDR3 DUAL DVI & TV OUT"

http://www.xfxforce.com/product_view.php?sku=PVT40AUD

The problem is its not available in the US yet... i posted on their forums to see if they had a date for it here stateside but havn't heard anything.. XFX sells it under their PINE brand dual dvi overseas..
