Could I do dual monitors with integrated intel graphics and a Geforce2MX on AGP? Boss wants dual displays without purchasing anything. Trying to scrap up what we have.
 
If the onboard graphics aren't automatically disabled when you install the AGP card then it just might work. Only way to be certain would be to try it :)
 
Will have to dig out a lot of stuff to put it all together, just wanted to make sure its not a definite no before I did it. Thanks

I would advise against it. The performance will most likely be abysmal...
 
I just wanted to warn you....I am running dual monitor display and my first monitor was built in March 05 and this new monitor was manufactured in June 05. To my displeasure the March 05 monitor is significantly dimmer than the newer monitor.....This sucks. I now know that if you go Dual Monitors you should buy the monitors together. :mad:

Sounds more like a calibration issue :)
 
I ran dual monitors on an old HP with intergrated graphics. I used a PCI card for the second monitor though. Get into the BIOS of the comp in question and see if there is an option to disable onboard video. If there is, just don't disable it. Then you should be fine I would think.

How? I went through the Nvidia dual monitor setup wizard...and I even upped the brightness on the second monitor but it still seems dimmer overall still. Its hard to explain.
 
Dell ended up not even having an agp slot, so here's my next plan.

Currently have a Geforce2/mx400 in the agp slot, want to add another video card in the pci slot for dual displays. This will be for business work, spreadsheets, invoices, that type of stuff. Will this do the trick?

Is there any incompatibilities I should watch out for that will inhibit me from doing dual display? I am under the notion that as long as I have two nvidia graphics cards in the machine, drivers will take care of it? Never did dual display before so...

I foresee no issues with such a configuration.
