im gettin my new monitor tomorrow and i hope to keep my old one hooked up for dual displays. i have a couple things i want to do.
1. i have my ps2 hooked up to my tv tuner card and i would like to be able to run multiplayer games (split screen) in their own screen. eg. having one player be on one screen and the other player on the other screen (both fullscreen or as close as i can get)
2. have my second monitor dedicated for my tv tuner and be able to use it as a normal tv (without effecting my other monitors setup)
if anyone has any ideas on how to do this, please help.
thanks.

for PS2, you cannot do what you want per se, however you can have two PS2s linked together, each operating on their own screen...

so an extra $180 or whatever it is now for an extra ps2, and an extra $75 for another video capture card? sounds like a waste just for the extra screen space. i just figured it would look cool.

what if i have my desktop spanning between the 2 monitors, you can do that cant you? than i could simply drag the game into the middle of the screen, it will be split down the center onto the two different screens. would this work well/at all?

on the reverse side of playing console games on ur computer, is there any way to play computer games on your tv? i think id like the extra 9" of viewing space over my regular monitor. would it be as simple as plugging the s-video out on my video card into my tv?

i still havnt given up hope on my previous ideas for the ps2, if anyone knows a way, please tell me. i mean for christs sake we sent a man to the moon 35 years ago, yet we dont have the technology to make a video game work over 2 monitors?

Yeps, I tried playing S Video on my old TV and I can't see the bad guys. The graphics are pretty good if you are playing Emulators and such, but that's it.

Just stretch it across the two - if the two monitors are the same size it should work just fine as long as there is a "side by side" mode as opposed to "top and bottom".

you cant span the ps2 games across the two moniters. Ps2 is designed to output to a single tv only.
