Dual Display Video question

Hey guys, I've hooked up a second display on my stepdad's PC (one in his office, and the other out in his garage, hang out place). He uses a wireless mouse and keyboard so it's pretty sweet, he can compute off the same system in either room.

Anyway, the question I had is as follows: Is there any way to get video to play on BOTH monitors simultaneously? I seem to remember getting that setup working a while ago, but I can only get one at a time working here. They both show the desktop (ultramon is awesome btw), but the primary will show video while the secondary shows only a black screen.

Any tips on getting them to simultaneously display video would be much appreciated.

Edit:
Using a radeon 8500 and the latest catalyst drivers, what I'd like to do is go into the catalyst control panel and go to video->overlay->"same on all" but it's greyed out and I can't click it.

I've got the main monitor on the DVI port and the secondary on the VGA port.

Before you do this, just one warning. Once you've started using multiple displays, you'll feel a pain in your side if you try to do without it. :p

Go to display properties, settings tab, and select the second monitor. There should be a check box to "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" or something. Apply, and boom, multi-monitor bliss.
