Dual Display Help Needed...

I'm running XP Pro on my HP ZE5600 laptop.
I want to display the same, exact picture on a TV monitor.

So I connect a S-Video cable from my laptop to the TV monitor.

Should be fine right? Nope.

My laptop has an ATI mobility video card that can handle 2 monitors. I can set the 2nd. monitor to TV and 800 X 600, but the picture I get is just an extension of my desktop. (I drag my mouse to the edges of the screen, and then the cursor appears on the TV.)

What has to be done to get the same display AT THE SAME TIME on both screens?

I've got several presentations to make need a big screen for viewing. I'll get a projector in the near future, but I need to make do with what I've got right now.

Thanks in advance,
visick

go into display properties (settings) and uncheck extend my windows desktop to this monitor. also look on you laptop number keys to see if one is labeled crt/lcd or has a pic of two monitors. usually there is a "function" combo that you can toggle trough laptop only, laptop and crt, or crt only

Most laptops by default will duplicate the laptop display when you plug a monitor into them. I'd check all your display options.
