hey guys, am going to set up a dual display for my system starting this month. Pick up a GFX card and the 1st of the displays and next month the other display.
System Specs are:
AMD Athlon 2Ghz
512MB RAM
On Board GFX.
I have been using this machine as my main development rig. An di know its becoming a bit out dated but i refuse to pick up a new PC untill Windows Vista is ready to ship and hardware manufacturers know what they will be doing.
Now I want 2 19" Widescreen Monitors in dual mode sharing one desktop.
the link below is the monitor I have decided upon. Am not big into PC games untill i get a new pc, cause the setup of this machine aint the greatest for playing games, or is it?

Monitor Specs:
* Pixel Pitch - 0.284mm x 0.284mm
* Brightness (typ.) - 350 cd/m2
* Contrast Ratio (typ.) - 500:1
* Max. Refresh Rate - 1440 X 900@60Hz
* Viewing Angle (typ.) - 170°(H), 170°(V)
* Response Time (typ.) - 8ms
* Input Signal - VGA (Analog D-sub)
* VGA cable removability - Yes
* Speaker - 2.5W x 2(optional) Power Adaptor (100V-240V) - External
* Power Consumption - 60W
* Dimensions (WxHxD mm) - 462 x 385 x 180
I will pick up one this month and the other next month. But i need a GFX Card that will power these to setupes with ease and i dont want to spend a lot of cash on it. Under £100 in VAT and if possiable be powerful enough to play the latest games but not a full speed with everything turned. Just as long as they play smile.gif
GFX Card wsie i havn't a clue anymore. Left the GFX scene ages ago and went the console route so am not sure what to pick up. I know it needs 2 VGA outputs.
Not I would like to know the prices of the monitor, which stands at £180. If you know of a silimar spec of monitor using DVI outputs then I would seriously consider it instead.
Another option is this:
Matrox DualHead2Go external multi-display upgrade is not a graphics card, but rather a palm-sized box that sits outside of your system.
Time frame for order is Wednesday 31st May for the 1st monitor and GFX card.
I thank you in advance for any input.
