I have a Dell Precision 490 that supports 2 CPUs

I have two of the same series Intel CPU but they have different stepping:
SLAEG - PLGA771 Intel® Xeon® Processor X5355
SL9YM - LGA771 Intel® Xeon® Processor X5355

More Details Here: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=28035

Would that cause any incompatibility issues? And the G0 is always the preferred stepping for a chip, correct?

nope, might effect the overclockability but thats all i can think of
