dual-core par2 utility

since the par2 source is availiable on sourceforge (http://parchive.sourceforge.net/) and is open source, is there a version that supports dual-core cpus? the current quickpar recovery only uses one cpu, so i was wondering if anyone has seen anywhere a par2 recovery utility that utilizes both cpus or if it would be easy for a programmer here to do it for me :rolleyes:
