Dual core bug?

This has been happening with a few games I have. Flight Simulator X SP1, Stalker, Bioshock.
I'd hit Ctrl alt Del, and head to the preformance tab to see one of my cores is at 100% usage and one has very little at all. These games say they support dual core...I try to reset the affinity and it them it seems it uses both cores. Then my game seems to run smoother too.

Any help?
