Dual Channel ?

Hey Guys,

I currently have 2gb of matched set of corsair ram running in dual channel, i would like to purchase another set of 2gb. If I can't find the exact same pair, can i go with a diff. brand of matched DIMMS for the other two slots and still maintain dual channel? Would the CAS ratings have to be the same?

In other words

Dimm 0 Corsair

Dimm 1 Kingston

Dimm 2 Corsair

Dimm 3 Kington

It should work, and a lot times it does. But there's a lot of times it doesn't and you either fall back to single channel, or the system fails to boot at all (especially on AMD64 systems).
