Hi all, this is my first time attempting to dual boot. Got a lil problem hope to resolve soon.

Here's the situation:

I put in my x64 xp disc. Format the partition it copy all file into that partion. It reboot. But when it reboot, it reboot straght into my xp pro and not completing the x64 installation on the other partion. Why? Please help?

Thank you.

Your XP Pro partition is set to active right now. Make the x64 partition active - can do this from disk management, just right click on your x64 partition and there will be an option somewhere there to make the partition active.
Once you install x64, edit the boot.ini file (on root of drive where OS is installed) to dual boot XP Pro. Copy what's there for x64, into a second line, change the name of the OS to XP Pro, and change the partition -- looks something like this
Code:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\Windows
to the partition XP Pro is on.
