Dual boot win 7 and win 8

my main drive is a 256gb i think drive lol it has win 7 ultimate installed on it, i want to partition it and install win 8 on it and dual boot.

i do all of that and when i click the partition to install 8 on it says this:
windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. the partition contains one or more dynamic volumes that are not supported for installation.

windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. the selected disk has the maximum number of partitions of this type

any ideas or software? i made a vmware of win 8 os no prob but i want to dual boot because idk if im fully ready to switch over yet and i don't feel like redoing everything

You need to convert the existing Windows 7 partition to basic. This describes how to do that without losing the existing data on the partition with free tools: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/26829-convert-dynamic-disk-basic-disk.html
