Like the title says, I am going to be setting up a dual boot box tomorrow. Thinking it would be great to run the same wu under windows or linux. Can this be done?

Thanks!

Not the same WU but the same class of WU can be, at least I tried to sneakernet 1 once from Linux to Windows and failed.

no it can't be done because each system has a unique ID linked to the WU. so the WU must be completed on the OS it started on otherwise you get no points. same reason you can't start a WU on 1 system and move it over to another one to finish it. second reason, windows WU's are different from linux WU's.

technically i believe you can, however very very very very high chance of killing the unit (it has been done between two of the same OS families i think, not sure on Linux -> Windows)

If both OS's were windows, then it would most likely be fine, but windows <-> linux, no way.

If you ran a Linux VM on top of Windows and then you could probably do it. If you had a separate Linux server that stored the WU then it might even be easy. Either way a Linux native or VM could be the way to go.
